Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst turns data into actionable insights to drive business decisions across the organization. This role designs and maintains Qlik dashboards and reports, integrates data from multiple systems, defines KPIs, and communicates findings to executive and operational teams. While Qlik Sense is the primary tool, other platforms such as Power BI and Excel may also be used. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented position within a developing BI function, offering the opportunity to shape reporting standards, improve processes, and expand the organization’s business intelligence capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the acquisition, implementation, and management of Qlik licenses in collaboration with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of BI standards, reporting frameworks, and data governance practices.
  • Gather, integrate, and validate data from operational, financial, payroll, and other systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Design and optimize Qlik load scripts and scalable data models to enable efficient, accurate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports primarily through Qlik, leveraging other tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) as needed to support decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze operational performance, cost drivers, and continuous improvement initiatives, providing actionable insights.
  • Automate and enhance reporting processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and usability.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, user support, troubleshooting, and manage access and security within Qlik and other reporting systems.
  • Communicate findings and actionable insights to leadership and operations teams, translating complex data into clear, business-focused recommendations.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or analytics roles
  • 2+ years of experience developing in Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud or a comparable BI platform.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, transformations, joins, and incremental load concepts required.
  • Proven experience integrating data from multiple systems (ERP, accounting, operational platforms, CRM, databases, API, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of financial and operational reporting concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and operational audiences

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field
  • Qlik Sense Business Analyst or Data Architect certification
