Engineer II – Stormwater Management and Environmental Resilience

What You'll Do

Lead stormwater and sewer projects from planning to construction. Manage programs, policies, and budgets while collaborating with City departments, agencies, and the community to protect waterways and neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage watershed, floodplain, and Green Infrastructure projects. Oversee capital projects: budgeting, permitting, design, construction, and post-construction monitoring. Develop policies, strategic plans, KPIs, and service standards. Represent the City in meetings and with stakeholders. Lead and mentor team members, managing workflow and performance.

What You Bring

B.S. in Environmental, Civil, or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent. 7+ years experience, including 5+ in green infrastructure or landscape architecture. Proven project leadership and team management. Municipal utility experience preferred.

Preferred Certifications

National Floodplain Manager Certification (or within 12 months). Indiana Pesticide & Fertilizer Applicator Certification Categories 5 & 6 (or within 12 months). Indiana Professional Engineer License. Valid Indiana Driver's License.

Technical Skills

AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Illustrator. Project management, stormwater modeling, regulatory compliance.
