ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

  • Performs electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, plumbing, and instrumentation and controls maintenance work to maintain facility equipment, utilities, building, and related structures

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes projects with minimal guidance while minimizing equipment down time and costs
  • Implements, maintains, and manages a facility maintenance management system including preventive maintenance, work orders, work logs, and spare parts inventory
  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and building
  • Manages facility fabrication shop
  • Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment
  • Operates lifts
  • Researches and orders supplies, parts, and tools as needed to complete work orders
  • Manages building alarm system
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follows compliance of facility safety, health, and environmental regulations, rules, and codes

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Able to perform installation and repairs of industrial electrical circuits
  2. Competent in interpreting and using schematics, diagrams, blueprints, technical handouts, and drawings to perform installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  3. Strong basic carpentry and plumbing skills
  4. Able to identify and use the six simple classical machines
  5. Works well in a team environment and singularly
