Site Overview:Â
Our Fort Wayne facility is a union manufacturing plant with approximately 155 employees operating on three shifts. The site is a pouring and specialized post processing operation. Capabilities include pouring, fabricating, felting, reticulation (2 styles) and block. As a key location within FXI’s manufacturing network, the Fort Wayne plant is known for its strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence. Team members work in a collaborative, supportive environment where continuous improvement and innovation play a central role.

Job Overview:Â
As Manufacturing (Pourline) Supervisor this role will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pour line to ensure production targets, quality, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role supervises production staff, monitors equipment performance, and coordinates workflow to maintain efficient and continuous 0perations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to Technical Manager.
- Directly supervises one team of hourly associates for two separate production foam machines.
- Directs weekly schedules for the hourly staff.
- Manages hourly timecards on a weekly basis.
- Participates in disciplinary situations with the crew where appropriate.
- Maintain Hourly Training Program within department including cross training to fulfill production needs in case of absences.
- Leads daily 5S activities within the pouring department.                                 Â
- Participates in Chemical and other Supplies inventory.
- Participates/Leads Daily Gemba efforts both for hourly and salary.
- Complies and Participates in EHS activities.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis.
- Works with Pourline Engineer(s) to complete daily production schedules.
- Coordinates with Pourline Engineer(s) to meet scheduled PM’s for calibration.
- Coordinates team to complete all PM’s in a timely manner.
- Ability to learn different aspects of the foam making process.
- Maintain and manage SOP’s and Work Instructions for pourline.
- Help with any troubleshooting required during the production run.
- Manage daily efficiencies and provide plans as needed.
- Must maintain daily SAP and KPI requirements.
Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of manufacturing experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in foam production and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- SPC/SQC and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience.
