Overview

This role will be responsible for building wired and wireless networks, improving network performance, creating automations for repetitive tasks, and monitoring systems to optimize and secure the network.

Responsibilities

Supporting the existing network infrastructure, with the ability to analyze the environment to provide optimizations, greater security, and needed automation.
Building, testing and troubleshooting network environments, both physical and virtual.
Monitoring the network to mitigate bandwidth and security concerns.
Researching the latest technologies and threats to stay current with best practices.
Deploying security patching and upgrades.
Regularly reporting on networking access and security.
Configuring network access and services (VLAN, NAT, NTP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent certifications and experience.
5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.
