Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a construction-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control and alarm response activities, and communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and construction personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the construction location, building areas, access points, perimeter, and parking areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain visitor and contractor activity records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through accurate reports and shift communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
