Software Engineer (Web Technologies)

Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire a Software Engineer to add to our growing Web eCommerce Engineering team! As a member of Web Engineering, you will build and support cutting-edge software solutions, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. We offer flexible work schedules and hybrid work-from-home options. Job Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse, expert team of engineers to build the next generation of our best-in-class eCommerce website, backend integrations, and internal tools
• Build scalable, testable, and reusable code using open-source technologies
• Solve complex performance and architectural challenges
• Own the development of substantial features from concept to production

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PHP or another object-oriented language (e.g., C#, Java, C++, Golang)
• 1-3+ years of professional programming experience
• Experience with modern web development technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
• Experience working with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres and the ability to write performant SQL queries
• Fluency with Git or other version control software
