About the Role:

The Superintendent, General, plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction projects with a focus on plumbing systems to ensure timely and quality completion. This position requires coordinating multiple teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules and budgets while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The superintendent acts as the primary on-site leader, resolving issues promptly and facilitating communication between stakeholders to drive project success. They are responsible for monitoring the installation and integration of plumbing systems within the broader construction framework, ensuring compliance with design specifications and codes. Ultimately, this role ensures that all aspects of the construction project are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, resulting in successful project delivery within the United States construction industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a construction superintendent with a focus on plumbing systems in commercial or residential projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and installation practices within the United States.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project management principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to plumbing and general construction.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in construction management or related field (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with construction management software and digital project tracking tools.
  • Background in coordinating multi-trade construction projects beyond plumbing systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills demonstrated through previous supervisory roles.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green plumbing technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities related to plumbing systems and general site operations.
  • Manage subcontractors and labor teams to ensure work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with plumbing codes and construction standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to communicate status updates, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and any changes to the project scope.
