Accounts Payable Clerk

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering invoices and reconciling accounts. This position requires data entry skills, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter invoice header information and ensure proper routing through the internal approval workflow
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
• Review and verify the accuracy of expense coding on company credit card charges
• Provide prompt and professional responses to vendor and internal inquiries
• Support audits and compliance reviews by providing requested documentation
• Support the accounting team with special projects as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1–3 years of accounts payable or general office experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
