Overview

Are you passionate about safety and ready to make an impact where it matters most? As a Construction Safety Manager with Cummings Electrical, you’ll play a key role in driving our Safety First culture across large-scale commercial and industrial projects throughout the DFW area. You’ll work directly with project teams to ensure compliance, champion best practices, and foster a proactive approach to keeping our people safe and our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Manager is responsible for overall SSSP execution, including, but not limited to management of Subcontractor Safety Coordinators. Sub-tier management, case & care Management. 
  • Oversee activities related to electrical, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Ensure safety remains a top priority on every job site at all times.
  • Work closely with project teams to develop and sustain an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC)
  • Report directly to the Health and Safety Director
  • Craft training, safety administration, work coordination, and high-risk activity planning and development

Qualifications

  • BS Occupational Safety & Health required.
  • 12-15 years relevant construction experience, or Certified Safety Professional (as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals)
  • Two 2 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Minimum OSHA 510
  • Minimum Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Board of certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Certification.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed

Not required, but nice to have:

 

  • NFPA 70E and LOTO
  • First Aid, Narcan, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training.
  • CPR and AED Training.
  • Emergency Procedures Training
  • Mental Health First Aid Training
