This role is responsible for reviewing customer drawings and specifications, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting sales efforts by providing timely and competitive quotations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes. Ability to provide exemplary and consistent customer satisfaction, with a strong capacity for building relationships.  Primary Responsibilities:  Review customer drawings, models, and specifications to prepare accurate estimates and quotes. Develop bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing processes, and production routing. Calculate material, labor, equipment, and outside processing costs. Work closely with customers, vendors, sales, engineering, and production teams. Analyze production data to improve estimating accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain estimating tools, calculators, and costing databases. Monitor estimate-to-actual performance and recommend improvements. Prioritize multiple projects while meeting customer deadlines. QualificationsMinimum Requirements: 5+ years of estimating experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing. Strong knowledge of laser/plasma cutting, forming, CNC machining, welding, and finishing/coating processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files. Understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing processes, and cost estimating. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with excellent organization and attention to detail.  Preferred Requirements: Experience with heavy plate fabrication and processing. Welding estimating experience. Experience with Epicor or similar ERP/MRP software. Background in cost accounting, time studies, or manufacturing planning.
