SUMMARY  

BLUvera is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I or II to join the construction products manufacturing and fabrication process engineering department. This role is responsible for leading process improvements in plant operations, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, and providing hands-on maintenance and engineering support.Ā

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will ensure plant objectives in safety, quality, customer service, and cost are met through efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of previous hands-on and design experience in equipment maintenance, process, and product design.Ā

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ 

  • Leads engineering process improvement of plant operations, collaborating with safety, quality, and environmental teamsĀ 
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes; documents changesĀ 
  • Implements process control techniques and proceduresĀ 
  • Analyzes manufacturing process flow for improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and costĀ 
  • Collaborates with plant team on product tooling and design for effective production methodsĀ 
  • Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products with zero defects and low production costĀ 
  • Provides hands-on maintenance and engineering support to troubleshoot technical issuesĀ 
  • Identifies, documents, and completes preventative maintenance tasksĀ 
  • Works with production department to develop and implement technical training for team membersĀ 
  • Creates and maintains documentation of tool drawings and design conceptsĀ 
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and production equipmentĀ 
  • Utilizes lean methodologies and tools to achieve plant goalsĀ 
  • Builds relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsĀ 
  • Performs all other duties as assignedĀ

QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

  • Bachelor's degree in EngineeringĀ 
  • 3+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience in process engineering/maintenance with emphasis on continuous process improvementĀ 
  • Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product designĀ 
  • Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, exterior finishes, interior finishes)Ā 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent root cause analysis skillsĀ 
  • Proven problem-solving and organizational skillsĀ 
  • Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activitiesĀ 
  • Experience with AutoCADĀ 
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and UL complianceĀ 
  • Proven Lean manufacturing experienceĀ 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteĀ 
  • Active listening skills and effective communication; openness to diverse input and feedbackĀ

The base pay range for this role is $76,200 - $114,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Ā

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Ā  This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Ā
