RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the national fulfillment center (NFC), ensuring efficient and timely processing of orders.
- Manage and supervise the fulfillment team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high productivity and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems and processes.
- Maintain and analyze operational data and metrics (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement, and opportunities to streamline processes.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for unexpected situations or disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on fulfillment center performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process optimization and cost-effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in supply chain management or logistics desired
- 3 years of experience in a team leader role within a fulfillment center or distribution environment
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in inventory management systems and processes
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is primarily conducted in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- May require standing for extended periods and some physical labor
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental conditions typical of a distribution facility
