Job DetailsJob Location: Fort Worth, TX 76107Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.00 HourlyBASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting the Head of Security Operations and the Security Manager in maintaining the safety and security of all museum visitors and employees, and for preserving the museum, its properties, and collections.             JOB SPECIFICATIONS: High school education or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years security experience. Job requires Licensed certification by Texas Dept. of Public Safety Private Security (Non-Commissioned Officer), Adult CPR/AED certification, and First Aid certification. Good organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills are required.  Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background and drug screening.    EXTERNAL CONTACTS: Regular contact with security departments at other museums, local fire and police departments/agencies, vendors, contractors, Operation Partnership Emergency Network, Museum Security Network, Fort Worth Cultural District Membership, and museum patrons/visitors.   INTERNAL CONTACTS: Frequent contact with Head of Security Operation and the Security Manager and personnel working throughout the Museum.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Perform routine foot patrols throughout the facility and campus grounds Observe the Museum during day/evening hours for any out of the ordinary activities Act as an Ambassador of the Kimbell Art Museum always Interact with Museum guests in a courteous manner, providing information and directions, assisting with lost children, and hurt guests and employees. Perform all duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines Address and handle the public in a calm, professional and ethical manner, responding appropriately to guest requests and complaints in an accurate, courteous, and prompt manner. Respond to and enforce violations of Museum Policies occurring on Museum property. Infractions of local, state, and federal laws off Museum property will require response but not enforcement. Those infractions will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies. And Museum Security Manager. Respond to security related incidents occurring on Museum property, mitigating, and defusing situations. Safeguard company assets, property, equipment, and facilities against illegal and destructive acts. Respond to medical related situations and incidents, will administer first aid and CPR when appropriate (within certification and training limits) when appropriate and arrange for emergency medical attention through the Security Supervisor as necessary Respond to and control emergency situations, perform crowd control duties, and arrange for emergency medical, fire and law enforcement response as determined necessary by Public Safety Management. While on a stationary post or foot patrol, will be vigilant to observe and report any safety or hazardous situations. Assist working the Security Control room assigned in each building Control access to the Museum through assigned gates, checking logging and clearing authorized personnel and vehicles who present proper identification when attempting to gain access to the Museum secured areas. Conduct building inspections while on foot patrol Respond to and manage all alarms as dispatched in coordination with a Security Supervisor Perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned Ensure proper use and security of Museum equipment. Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures Submit reports of all incidents and activities occurring on Museum property and immediate area surrounding the Museum Practice good safety awareness always. Participate in job-related training courses to maintain skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to perform essential duties safely and professionally. Use sound judgment when assessing and responding to routine as well as emergency situations Maintain open and professional communication with Shift Supervisors and management Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information disclosed, accidently discovered, or communicated as an Officer-with or without specific instructions to do so-of employees, guests, and concession partners. Maintain strict confidentiality of information related to incidents or events involving the Museum to unauthorized personnel i.e., radio, television, newspapers, and other press media personnel.   Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background and drug screening.    EMPLOYEE PERKS: Four free tickets to every Kimbell exhibition.
