We are seeking a Pediatric Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in the DFW area.

 

Occupational Therapist Assistants earn up to $50 per hour, with the pay structure at $12.50 per unit for up to 4 units per hour.

 

Position Details

A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to pediatric patients of various ages in the home setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. 

 

Essential functions:

  • Design and administer the therapy treatment plan as developed by the Therapist Supervisor.
  • Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
  • Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board.
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational therapy.
  • Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • Current Texas Driver’s License with reliable transportation
