The 2nd shift Operations Supervisor is responsible for safely leading contracted team members to meet and exceed our customer’s quality and service expectations, as well as Libbey’s cost, quality, and efficiency goals. Â
This is a 2nd shift position with hours of 3:00pm – 11:00pm. Flexibility is required as hours will vary based on business needed.

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ Â
- Perform research and analysis; assist in the design and development of distribution processes which include quality, safety, cost reduction and operations to facilitate continuous process improvementÂ
- Establishes daily production goals and monitors intra-day performance to achieve these goalsÂ
- Work closely with key stakeholders: Customer Service, Sales, Inventory Control, Finance etc. to ensure delivery of all key service objectivesÂ
- Leads and participates in root cause analysis to identify problems and recommend changesÂ
- Monitors production standards and develops programs to improve operational throughputÂ
- Observes team member activities and work methods, recommends areas of opportunityÂ
- Coaches team members towards meeting goalsÂ
- Assists in training team members on distribution processes and equipmentÂ
- Assists the DC Manager in problem resolution relating to production, standard operating procedures, safety and qualityÂ
- Evaluates the performance of team members and communicates feedback regarding job performance and expectations in a timely mannerÂ
- Participates in distribution project teams, acting as a co-facilitator or facilitatorÂ
- May act as a project manager on assigned projectsÂ
- May serve on cross-functional teamsÂ
- May perform other duties as assignedÂ

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of multi-shift distribution center experienceÂ
- Hands‑on experience with dock operations (LTL & TL)
- Experience managing shipping cutoffs and working under tight, time-sensitive conditions
- Technical skills in logistics processes and methods to include flow, cost efficiencies, engineered standards, equipment, safety and qualityÂ
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteÂ
- Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan, Red Prairie) essentialÂ
- Analytical skills to include problem identification and resolutionÂ
- Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing, deadline driven work environment, with minimal mistakesÂ
- Ability to lead and develop people utilizing excellent communication skillsÂ
- A passion to grow personally and professionally, as well as develop others on your team
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)Â strongly preferred
- Ability to safely operate a sit‑down forklift and a reach‑truck forklift

WORKING CONDITIONSÂ Â
- May be required to work weekends.Â
- May be required to work beyond scheduled hours based on operational needs.Â
- May be required to lift up-to 75 pounds.Â
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time.Â
- Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes.Â
- May require the movement of mobile and fixed equipment.Â
