Summary:

The Pharmacy Inventory Control Specialist will assist the pharmacist in providing professional pharmacy services to patients and staff of Cook Children’s Medical Center, and the community we serve. This will involve operation and maintenance of pharmacy inventory control, automation and technology trouble shooting, database management, automation training, and purchasing functions. They will also support distributive pharmacy operations as needed.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for gathering, reporting and analyzing data.

  • Pharmacy technician experience in an acute care setting preferred.

  • Experience with computer applications and pharmacy automation and technology preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Pharmacy Technician certification.

  • Texas Pharmacy Technician License.
