Job Summary: We are seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating robotic or manual bend/brake machines, ensuring high-quality parts production, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Press Brake Operator plays a key role in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards while contributing to our culture of teamwork and innovation. Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-Hour shift Occasional overtime may be required Primary Job Responsibilities Include: Operate, program, and maintain robotic or manual bend/brake machines, including charting machine performance and administering routine checks/maintenance Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing routings Plan sequences of operation to achieve optimal precision and tolerances Verify product quality through inspections, measurements, and reports Prepare raw materials for production, ensuring material quality prior to production sequence Perform machine set-ups, calibration, and adjustments as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Follow and enforce federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as SmartCap’s Health & Safety Manual Support process improvements and product quality initiatives Perform additional work-related duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings Preferred Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing or metalworking environment Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting Proficient in measuring tools such as calipers and protractors Physical Demands: Almost continual standing or walking Occasional kneeling, bending, and manual dexterity with hands Considerable lifting and moving of parts and materials Moderate to considerable focusing of eyes to view electronic control screens Working Conditions: Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled environment with seasonal temperature changes Considerable exposure to noise levels from manufacturing equipment RSI Group (SmartCap) is an equal opportunity employer, with highly competitive pay and benefits, training and development opportunities, and a welcoming and innovative culture.
