About the Position
NAVIX Diagnostix is seeking experienced Cardiovascular Sonographers / Technologists to join our growing team in the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas area. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available with daytime hours and no call responsibilities.
This position is ideal for an experienced sonographer who is credentialed in both cardiac and vascular ultrasound and wants the opportunity to utilize both specialties in their work.
In this role, you will utilize color-flow duplex ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and related clinical data used by physicians to support accurate medical diagnoses.
You'll perform a diverse range of cardiac and vascular studies. Vascular procedures may include cerebrovascular, extremity arterial, extremity venous, and visceral vascular examinations. Cardiac procedures may include transthoracic echocardiograms, strain imaging, transesophageal echo support, contrast administration, and other studies within the cardiac sonographer's scope of practice.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with NAVIX and client protocols
- Perform cardiac studies, including transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures within scope of practice
- Perform vascular studies, including cerebrovascular, arterial, venous, and visceral vascular examinations
- Prepare patients for examinations and select the appropriate transducer and equipment for each study
- Obtain and review pertinent patient history, physical examination findings, and supporting clinical information
- Assess and evaluate ultrasound images and related clinical data to support accurate physician interpretation
- Recognize significant or life-threatening abnormalities and communicate findings appropriately to the medical team
- Apply critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in clinical and operational situations
- Provide preliminary technical findings to the interpreting physician as appropriate
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and testing areas in accordance with NAVIX and manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure patient and employee safety while maintaining compliance with applicable policies, procedures, credentialing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, client teams, and NAVIX colleagues to support exceptional patient care

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Active credential in both a Cardiac and Vascular specialty
- Current BLS certification
- EKG recognition
- Knowledge of cardiac stress testing
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high clinical standards
Accepted Cardiac Credentials:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) β ARDMS
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) β CCI
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) β CCI
Accepted Vascular Credentials:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) β ARDMS
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) β CCI
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)] β ARRT
NAVIX's job description requires a recognized credential from both categories and also identifies EKG recognition, stress-testing knowledge, BLS certification, and the ability to work independently among the position requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of non-invasive vascular technology and cardiac sonography experience
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program
- Experience performing a broad range of cardiac and vascular diagnostic studies
