  • Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for their Resource/Float Pool in the Med/Surg Tele unit, with a focus on night shifts and a commitment of 36 hours per week.
  • Candidates must possess a Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing, current RN licensure, and at least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program.

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, Nights

Here’s What You Need 

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
  • NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Req
  • 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Float Pool experience as well as Med/Surg and Tele experience preferred

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will Do 

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
