Work hours: PRN Days (6:45a :7:15p) PRN I requires a minimum of 1 shift per 6 week schedule
Department highlights:

· 36 bed Orthopedic Trauma/ Joint Replacement Unit in the brand new Justin Tower- Care for patients with joint replacements but may include ortho procedures with a variety of concurrent medical issues such as CHF, COPD, asthma, diabetes, renal failure. This is the dept where the most effective improvements of patients are seen. Great supportive Leadership team
· Here’s What You Need
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
· BSN preferred
· One-year experience as a clinical nurse required.
· Current BLS (required) – expiration date greater than 3 months preferred.
· CPI training within 60 days of hire (required)
· 2+ years of Med/surg or Orthopedic RN experience in acute care setting (preferred)
· Strong med/surg experience including charge/preceptor skills (preferred)
· ONC – Orthopedic Nurse Certified within 2 years (preferred)
· Situational Leadership style/approachable.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
