Summary

This role will have core responsibility around supporting the controller with analysis, month end review, regular reconciliations, and ongoing operations reporting.  As the Sr Accountant, you will work closely with the Controller, senior accounting leadership and multiple site operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support the Accounting functions for month-end, quarter-end, and annual activities including ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Support the Controller in financial reporting to the business
  • Support internal and external financial and process audits including SOX controls
  • Research, analyze, reconcile, and validate a variety of data sets and information and report out findings and recommendations
  • Research and resolve financial and manufacturing variances
  • Research and assist in clearing AP and receiving variances
  • Monitor and report inventory transactions including supporting physical inventory
  • Cost /Manufacturing experience preferred.   
  • Experience with Cycle Counts/Goods In Transits, WIP (Work in Process), Cost Rolls/Revaluation, and  GRIR/GINR.

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Accounting
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience (accounting and analysis roles)
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated success working both independently and in highly collaborative environments
  • Excellent presentation skills 
  • Strong analytical, and critical thinking skills 

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

  • Works in an office environment with occasional interaction with the manufacturing facility 
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time including overnight stays.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, and walking
  • Attendance – The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary to meet business demands. 
  • Occasional lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
