Join our team as an Electro-Mechanical Technician responsible for the assembly, testing, wiring and quality assurance of precision downhole equipment in our R&D facility. You'll work in a dynamic environment where safety and quality are paramount, ensuring seamless collaboration with Engineering to decide and execute best practices and methodologies while adhering to Weatherford's high standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform prototype mechanical assembly to help create engineering drawings
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Perform precision soldering of electronic components
  • Maintain an orderly work area and properly care for company-supplied tooling
  • Contribute to the development of new procedures and improvement of existing ones
  • Uphold Weatherford's commitment to safety, quality, and environmental protection
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate leadership and ethical behaviour in alignment with company standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of assembly or manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Solder certifications are preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Understanding of electrical schematics
  • Precision soldering capabilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good verbal communication, attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset
  • Oil and gas experience is preferred (wireline, DS, MWD, LWD)
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
