Job Summary

The Senior Project Engineer oversees all stages of staff and project development—from concept through design to execution. This role is accountable to provide expertise and can be relied upon to make recommendations for technical and design solutions. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, budgets, schedules, conducts, and coordinate detailed phases of project oversight. Conducts Design Conceptual Reviews. 
  • Provides leadership and guidance for staff on project assignments. Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation. Lead and contribute to overall engineering analysis and solutions. 
  • Plan and conduct evaluation and site observation. Perform Quality Control for projects by reviewing project documents, specifications, and design options; ensure code compliance through meetings and reviews. Make recommendations based on findings. Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions. Evaluate and mitigate project risk.
  • Build and develop internal and external relationships  


Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience
  • Seasoned knowledge of relevant codes and design standards.
  • Strong command of core engineering principles with the ability to apply them to real-world, multidisciplinary projects. 
  • Proficient in problem-solving
  • Experienced with industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Competent in data interpretation and statistical analysis
  • Seasoned knowledge of project management fundamentals
  • Critical thinking and sound engineering judgement
  • Detail-oriented and quality focused
  • Effective communicator
