Paslay Group is the premier, full-service consulting firm providing Executive Program Management for complex capital development programs and enterprise-level business advisory strategies to increase revenue, control costs, improve performance, and ensure long-term success. Founded in 2006 by former industry executives, we bring deep expertise and a proven track record of delivering strategic results.

Every number Paslay Group’s leadership acts on starts here - with journal entries posted correctly, reconciliations that hold up under scrutiny, and a close that happens on schedule. As Staff Accountant, that discipline is yours to own. You keep the general ledger clean, catch the variance before it becomes a question, and give the people making decisions something they can trust.

What You Will Lead

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, and assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate variances before they become surprises, and maintain the supporting schedules behind our financial statements and audit documentation.
  • Apply customer payments accurately, monitor aging, work past-due balances and payment discrepancies, and process adjustments, credits, and write-offs.
  • Produce aging summaries, collections updates, cash receipt activity, and the management reports that inform budgeting, forecasting, and variance discussions.
  • Maintain the desk procedures, documentation, and reconciliation templates for your processes, and improve them when the data tells you something is not working.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Two or more years of accounting experience covering general ledger, reconciliations, and accounts receivable.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, the monthly close cycle, and basic revenue recognition.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, lookup functions, conditional formulas - and comfort working inside large transaction data sets.
  • Hands-on experience with an accounting or ERP platform, with the ability to run, modify, and interpret standard financial reports.
  • Sound judgment with confidential financial information, and clear, direct communication across departments.
