Position Summary and Responsibilities: 

The purpose of the Day Warehouse Manager is to direct the warehouse management teams to provide excellent service in receiving, storing and issuing materials and supplies, and ensuring warehouse operational efficiency to achieve Branch and Company goals. 

  • Oversee recruiting, training and management of all warehouse personnel to ensure Ben E. Keith operational objectives are met and maintained. 
  • Direct and coordinate the receiving, storage, selection, and loading of all products inside and outside of the Branch. 
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures. 
  • Train warehouse personnel as directed. 
  • Provide performance feedback to personnel.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) 
  • Food industry experience preferred 
  • PC and Microsoft Office; ability to learn and use relevant BEK systems 
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines required 
  • Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines 
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal safety regulations 
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure operational efficiency 
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Leadership skills; ability to train and motivate personnel 
  • Ability to understand complex processes 
  • Relationship management 
  • Analytical; detail-oriented 
  • Strong negotiation/problem-solving skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent warehouse management experience 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards 

Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
