INEOS Organization:

INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and oil products, including the downstream, polyethylene pipe manufacture business. INEOS as a Holdco is comprised of several businesses, each with a major chemical company heritage.  Its production network spans 75 manufacturing facilities in 24 countries throughout the world.

 

Business Context: 

The O&P USA and subsidiary WL Pipe business includes the product lines Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene, Polypropylene and Polyethylene, and Polyethylene Pipe with manufacturing sites at Chocolate Bayou Works (Alvin, TX), Battleground Manufacturing Complex (LaPorte, TX), and Carson (Carson, CA), with a division office in League City, TX.  The WL division includes 10 manufacturing sites across the US and a home office in Ft Worth TX.

 

How the Role Fits in: 

This position is part of a team of financial professionals who are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting and financial records for the WL Pipe business.  The broader WL team within the O&P umbrella provides financial reporting, forecasting, results analysis, capital budgeting, transaction processing, and internal control support to the olefins and polymers and WL business.

 

The Main Purpose of the Role: 

The purpose of the position is to support accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, prepare financial performance reports and forecasts for management along with results commentary.  This role has to work cross functionally with various departments including O&P and WL executive management, A flexible work schedule is required to meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial book close deadlines.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

  • Coordinate monthly close and financial reporting activities and integration to the O&P back-office processes
  • Prepare accurate and timely management reports and financial analyses
  • Support budgeting, planning, audits, and special financial projects
  • Lead and develop the technical accounting and reporting competencies of team members
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Partner with business leaders, treasury, commercial, and accounting teams.
  • Provide support to the WL site’s Six Sigma cost reduction efforts as necessary
  • Participate in special projects from time to time, as directed by site or corporate management
  • Responsible for practicing behavioral safety practices that meet company requirements.
  • Participate in performance management and career development/training activities as required to improve job performance

 

Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience/ General Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years of accounting, finance, or reporting experience
  • CPA or advanced degree preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
