We are seeking an Experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support development and integration of next-generation Command and Control (C2) capabilities within the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) enterprise. This role plays a critical part in instantiating and managing a Integration, Development, Test and Training Environment (IDT2E) to support unifying data and decision-making across domains by delivering secure, resilient, and automated software pipelines that enable rapid integration of sensors, next gen battle management software, and area defense solutions into a larger C2 architecture.

As part of a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments that accelerate capability delivery to the warfighter while maintaining the highest cybersecurity standards.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines enabling rapid, secure delivery of mission software to multiple operational environments (on-prem, cloud, edge).

  • Integrate security and compliance automation (e.g., STIGs, RMF, IaC hardening) throughout the software lifecycle.

  • Collaborate closely with software, systems, and cyber engineering teams to ensure end-to-end automation of build, test, and deployment processes.

  • Implement containerized and microservice architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, OpenShift) to support modular and scalable C2 solutions.

  • Develop and sustain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to enable repeatable and secure deployments.

  • Support integration of multi-domain sensors and defense systems into larger operational frameworks, ensuring interoperability and performance across diverse network environments.

  • Employ continuous monitoring and vulnerability management tools to ensure ongoing system integrity and compliance.

  • Participate in internal R&D efforts to prototype and deploy next-generation DevSecOps architectures supporting digital transformation and rapid capability insertion.

  • Collaborate with program leadership to identify process improvements, technical risks, and innovation opportunities that drive efficiency and mission success.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with typically 2 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Experience in Azure or AWS

  • CI/CD Pipeline experience

  • Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python (Boto3), AWS CLI, or Azure CLI

  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite, NSX-T micro-segmentation, EVPN/VXLAN

  • Experience with containerized and microservice architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, OpenShift

  • Experience with security and compliance automation (e.g., STIGs, RMF, IaC hardening) throughout the software lifecycle

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with NIST and/or JSIG information system guidelines/requirements

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD data (JREAP-C, ASTERIX, UCI)

  • Experience with Networking L2/L3 fundamentals

  • Familiarity with COTS firewall/networking solutions (Juniper, Cisco, etc) to support route-based IPsec, policy, basic SD-WAN concepts
