Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous General Foreman experience strongly preferred

  • Strong leadership and crew management skills

  • Expert knowledge of overhead distribution construction and maintenance

  • 7–10 years of experience in overhead distribution, including foreman-level leadership

  • Proven experience managing multiple crews

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple foremen and overhead distribution crews

  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term work planning across projects

  • Conduct and oversee job briefings, safety tailboards, and field audits

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, client, and company safety standards

  • Serve as primary field contact for supervisors, project managers, and customers

  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and logistics across multiple crews

  • Monitor productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence

  • Oversee energized and de-energized line work across multiple job sites

  • Support storm restoration efforts and emergency response operations

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and implement corrective actions

  • Train, mentor, and develop foremen, journeymen, and apprentices

  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and performance expectations

Minimum Requirements

  • Able to provide your own hand tools and gear. Rubber Goods are assigned by the company to each individual employee.

  • Able to work outside in various weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold temperatures.

  • Must possess the physical dexterity to be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and safely perform other physical work.

  • Able to travel

  • Able to demonstrate expert knowledge in safely performing all tasks associated with overhead distribution electrical lines

  • Able to perform and oversee maintenance such as routine inspections, modification, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and facilities.

  • Must possess advanced skills including digging, guying of pole structures, maintenance procedures, conductor handling/rigging and splicing, tower erection, and related construction methods.

  • All positions require participation in federally compliant FMCSA drug and alcohol testing programs. This includes both pre-employment and ongoing random testing.

  • Other duties as assigned.
