About the role:

You will provide general security through observation and reporting for all community property in an effort to promote a safe and secure environment while maintaining a progressive customer service culture.

What you’ll be doing:

• Live the PRS Mission & Values – Champion our Mission, Vision, and Core Values in every interaction, approaching residents, guests, and co-workers with grace, attentiveness, and courtesy.
• Ensure Campus Safety & Security – Serve as the community’s “gatekeeper” by screening and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors; monitoring surveillance, fire alarms, and emergency call systems; and responding calmly and effectively to all alarms and emergencies.
• Patrol & Protect – Conduct regular rounds (on foot or in vehicle) to check security functions, safeguard common and public areas, and monitor vehicles during off hours.
• Support Residents & Staff – Provide assistance and escorts for residents and staff during emergencies or after hours, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment at all times.
• Maintain Accurate Records – Complete clear and timely logs, records, and reports while carrying out other duties as assigned

About you:

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in building and grounds security or a related field.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems. Ability to communicate with government agencies such as Police and Fire department.
• Ability to fill out forms accurately.
• Formal training or experience in self-defense methods.
• Level 2 Unarmed security license is preferred/required. 
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, security software, video surveillance, and other relevant business applications.
