Summary:

Seeking a part-time LCSW Social Worker to provide direct social work services to pediatric patients and families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions in our Genetic Oncology Clinic. The Social Worker will provide ongoing supportive counseling/clinical therapy aimed at maintaining the functional behavior of families and work to create an after-hours support group for patients and families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement in order to support the family's effort in caring for their child in either the ambulatory or inpatient care setting.

Hours: Wed. & Thurs. 8am - 5pm

Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work.

• Current LCSW Licensure in Texas.

• Previous experience in a hospital setting and prior experience working with children and families is preferred.

• Basis Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of employment.
