We specialize in advanced diagnostics and cutting-edge surgical treatments for dogs and cats, including neurologic, orthopedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures. Compensation:
- $19 - $22/hr. based on experience

Schedule:
- Full Time
- 4x10 hour shifts per week within the hours/days:
- Monday - Friday
- 7am – 5pm
Job Description:
As a Client Service Technician (CST), you are the face and heartbeat of the hospital. The CST will need to exhibit exceptional customer service skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, and the ability to multitask between multiple systems for patient intake. This role is client-facing but will require exceptional communication skills with clients and internal staff.

As a Client Service Technician (CST), you are the face and heartbeat of the hospital. The CST will need to exhibit exceptional customer service skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, and the ability to multitask between multiple systems for patient intake. This role is client-facing but will require exceptional communication skills with clients and internal staff.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests and customers with kindness & respect
- Check-in patients
- Provide introductory information to new customers
- Obtain patients’ history, vital signs, and weight recording all information in the chart, and communicating with DVM
- Working with a team of CSRs and other departments to find appropriate solutions
- Collection of payment for services rendered
- Ensure that the reception area and exam rooms are clean and odor-free
- Verify all client information is up to date and accurate in the system
- Answer and transfers calls on multi-line telephone in a friendly and professional manner
- Strong working knowledge of veterinary procedures and pharmacology
- Discharge surgical patients and answer questions about the procedure, medications, and aftercare
- Takes messages from clients or RDVMs when appropriate and makes a callback in Ezyvet
- Assist with patient restraint, blood draws, and radiology
- Calculate and fill prescriptions per veterinarians’ instructions
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology
Administration
- Email home-care instructions, referral reports, and medical notes from all procedures and hospital visits to referring veterinarians
- Gather all forms and go-home items and verify invoices and instructions before discharge time
- Scan all faxed lab results, place them in the patient's medical records, and email copies to the appropriate DVM
- Make sure all exam rooms are stocked
- Scan all RDVM records, forms, lab results, etc., into patients’ files
- Check messages on voice mail
- Maintain and provide information for no-shows, rescheduled, and canceled appointments
- Keep reception desk and area tidy and clean
- Clean up after pet accidents in the waiting room
- Place all client and RDVM correspondence, ICU sheets, faxed records, and other documents in patient files in the appropriate (chronological) order
- Clean and stock client restroom as necessary or alert custodian to needs
- Operate office machines to include postage scale, fax machine, computer, printer, photocopy machine, credit card machine, scanner
Qualifications:
- You have experience of at least six months working in a veterinary hospital as a veterinary assistant
- You are dedicated to maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.
- Take the initiative – you are a * hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital*, you will help get all the day’s duties done!
- You are versatile – you know how to effectively adapt to the individual needs of each patient and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
- You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):
- Safe patient restraint
- Excellent client service
- Â Phlebotomy and catheter placement
- Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique
- Solid foundation of knowledge of common veterinary medications
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
