Noah’s Ark Animal Clinics is looking for a dependable and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our Fort Wright team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to continue building hands-on veterinary skills.
As a Technician Assistant, you’ll support our veterinarians and veterinary technicians while helping provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to our patients.
What You’ll Do
- Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Assist with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples as trained
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain medical equipment and work areas
- Monitor patient comfort and communicate concerns to the medical team
- Help maintain accurate patient records
- Stock supplies and support clinic organization
- Assist throughout the clinic wherever needed to keep patient care moving smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous veterinary or animal-handling experience is preferred
- A calm, compassionate approach with animals
- Dependability and willingness to help the team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment
- Comfort with the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting or assisting with animals
- Availability to work the schedule required by the Fort Wright clinic
