Patient Services Representative

The Patient Financial Services Rep will take inbound and outbound calls regarding payments and complaints and answer questions per patient. The Patient Financial Services Rep will coordinate payment arrangements, address concerns, and explain EOBs to the patient. They will also pull a daily report from GoRev, reviewing accounts with outstanding balances and providing itemized billing ledgers and medical records upon request.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Explains in and out-of-network benefits.
  • Provides excellent customer service to de-escalate irate patients.
  • Review payment posting and explanation of payments.
  • Review accounts thoroughly to ensure the patient was billed properly.
  • Set up payment plans for patients.
  • Update wrong addresses and/or contact information per patient.
  • Review Bad Debt accounts for Collection Letters.
  • Review payment corrections on GoRev and Waystar.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Patient Advocate Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 consecutive years in Patient Access, Patient Advocacy, Front Desk Registration (Hospital or Clinic), or something similar.
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Post-Secondary Certificate - awarded for training completed after high school (for example, Medical Billing and Coding)

Job Type: Full-Time / Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
