OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for leading operational improvement projects, driving Lean initiatives, supporting production operations, and managing cross-functional manufacturing projects throughout DMI Companies. Strong emphasis is placed on project management, execution, accountability, operational support, and continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead operational and manufacturing improvement projects.
- Manage project timelines, accountability, and communication.
- Support production leadership with execution of operational initiatives.
- Conduct process reviews, time studies, and workflow analysis.
- Support WMS, ERP, MES, and MRP implementation initiatives.
- Monitor KPI performance metrics and operational reporting.
- Create standard work documentation and process procedures.
- Lead Kaizen, 6S, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support warehouse and material flow optimization projects.
- Train supervisors and crew leaders on Lean and operational best practices.
- Support cost reduction and productivity improvement efforts.
- Conduct audits related to process compliance, quality, and inventory accuracy.
- Assist leadership with operational problem solving and execution.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related fields of study.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
- Project management experience is strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, MES, or MRP systems preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required.
