Repack Coordinator

 

JOB SUMMARY:

A repack coordinator job involves inspecting, sorting, and repackaging products, often returned or damaged, ensuring they meet quality standards and are suitable for resale or further processing, while also maintaining accurate inventory records.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Repack Coordinator performs the following tasks:


  • Product Inspection: Meticulously inspect returned or damaged products to determine their condition and suitability for repacking or sale.
  • Repacking: Repackaging products into appropriate packaging, ensuring they are properly labeled and sealed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of repacked items, updating inventory systems as needed.
  • Quality Control: Adhere to quality control standards and procedures throughout the repacking process.
  • Sorting and Segregation: Sort and segregate products based on the type, condition, or other relevant criteria.
  • Material Handling: Assist with the handling and movement of materials and products within the warehouse or repackage area.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter information into computer systems, such as Inventory records work orders, and shipping documents.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors, other warehouse staff, and potentially customers regarding repacking issues or concerns.
  • Safety – Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Other Duties: May be assigned duties as needed, such as assisting with receiving, shipping or general warehouse tasks.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck and pallet jack. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. 
  • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs. 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. 
  • Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents. 
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. 
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities. 
  • Consistently at work and on time. 
  • Able to work day, afternoon, or evening shift


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Possess or have ability to become forklift certified

Drivers License or equivalent



LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets. 


REASONING ABILITY:

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PAY PATE: $22-24.50/hr depending on shift
