About the Role:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the strategic vision and execution of product initiatives that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to define product roadmaps and deliver innovative solutions that meet market demands. Your role involves deeply understanding customer needs, analyzing competitive landscapes, and leveraging data-driven insights to prioritize features and enhancements. You will be responsible for managing the entire SureFire Illumination product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration, ensuring alignment with company goals and user experience standards. Ultimately, your leadership will be critical in shaping products that create significant value for both the company and its customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the product requirements process, gathering input from customers, prospects, partners, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to define a cohesive, market-driven product plan that can be successfully designed and executed.
- Document requirements, use cases, and functional specifications for new and existing products in accordance with Marketing's Product Development Process.
- Own the end-to-end product launch process, including schedule management (Microsoft Project), pricing, model numbering, forecasting, warranty information, and other launch deliverables.
- Conduct testing of new lighting products, including live-fire and field testing, and communicate results promptly to relevant departments.
- Coordinate structured user testing in pre- and post-release stages per established field evaluation processes (obtaining product from Engineering, shipping to customers, maintaining active communication throughout evaluation, and reporting results).
- Track post-launch performance metrics to assess new product success; partner with Customer Service and Repairs to monitor return trends.
- Participate in weekly Engineering and Support meetings, bringing market-driven, data-backed guidance from field sales and customer feedback to support product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop product messaging, competitive differentiators, and marketing collateral (data sheets, white papers, manuals, presentations).
- Deliver product and competitive analyses — including market segmentation and served/addressable market sizing — to inform strategy and sales/marketing positioning.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at customer briefings, industry conferences, and internal sales meetings, representing the SureFire brand to trade and consumer audiences.
- Apply strong business acumen — understanding of company operations, finance, legal considerations, and strategy — to guide sound product decisions.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, as applicable. Report any incidents of harassment to your Supervisor, Manager or Human Resources Manager.
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your Supervisor or Manager immediately.

QualificationsÂ

- Must have familiarity with and comfort in handling firearms
- Excel familiarity and proficiency a must
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or up to 6 years’ relevant work experience preferred.
Mathematical SkillsÂ
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division normally attained through elementary school education.
Computer Skills
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of Epicor9 is a plus.
