We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Education Diagnostician to join a school district in New Mexico. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive educational evaluations to determine students' eligibility for special education services and help develop individualized educational programs that support academic success. You will collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, administrators, and families to ensure students receive appropriate educational services. Job Responsibilities:


• Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations for students referred for special education services
• Interpret assessment data and prepare detailed evaluation reports
• Determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide assessment recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies
• Provide consultation regarding instructional strategies and student interventions




Requirements

• Active New Mexico Education Diagnostician license or eligibility
• New Mexico PED (Public Education Department) Certification required
• 0–1 year of experience welcome (new graduates encouraged to apply if certification requirements are met)
• Previous experience in school-based special education evaluations is preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance
