TheraEd Staffing is actively seeking 10 dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school district in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity for professionals who are passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs succeed in an inclusive educational environment.

As a Resource/Inclusion Teacher, you will work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to provide individualized instruction and support that promotes student growth and academic achievement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in resource and inclusion settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices
  • Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom accommodations based on student needs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment


Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Active New Mexico Special Education Teaching License
  • New Mexico PED (Public Education Department) Certification required
  • Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply
