As the Digital Analytics Manager for Staples Media Network, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Staples' future by owning the strategy development and execution of our measurement and reporting program. You will manage the development of advanced analytics tools and dashboards to deliver accurate measurement and insightful reporting to Staples’ vendors. This role requires a strategic thinker who excels in elevating work, translating business needs into actionable plans for developers, and leading all analytics, both internal and vendor facing. You’ll join a highly visible team reshaping digital advertising, with plenty of opportunities for innovation and professional growth.

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Oversee all Staples Media Network measurement and reporting, including defining key KPIs, designing vendor reporting dashboards, and managing the vendor-facing analytics team. 

  • Translate campaign data into clear insights and actionable solutions for business and vendor partners. 

  • Leverage a data-driven approach to evaluate optimization opportunities on reporting capabilities and tools. 

  • Identify and prioritize incremental opportunities and innovation to scale Staples Media Network. 
    Develop and manage Vendor Reporting Analysts in building reporting capabilities & supporting vendor analytics requests

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to design and create new analytical models, measurement pipelines, and visualization dashboards. 

  • Partner with Sales & Partnerships team to ensure business needs are captured and reflected in reporting templates. 

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales & Partnership team to document and communicate capabilities, oversee and deliver customized vendor reporting, and prioritize vendor analytics asks.

 

 

What you bring to the table:

 

  • You are naturally curious, stay current on MarTech/AdTech ecosystems, digital marketing, and the retail media landscape. 

  • You have proven success in building and leading teams, running sophisticated business processes across multiple internal teams in a high-growth environment, and presenting analytical insights throughout the sales and implementation process. 

  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, a bias towards data-driven decision making, and the ability to break down complex problems are essential. 

  • You excel at translating theoretical concepts into analytical methodologies and tools and adhere to principles of data quality management, Agile, data privacy, and modern marketing best practices.

  • Excellent decision-making, project management, and communication skills.

 

 

 

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 7 + years of experience in digital media, retail media, or other digital business with a strong analytical background

  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics.

  • Expertise with SQL, R/Python, Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong understanding of retail media—including programmatic, managed service, on/offsite, and in-store—and associated reporting and analytic models. 

 

 

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in a related field and/or MBA preferred. 

  • Strong knowledge of digital media channels, technology, operations, and CRM/audience activation. 

  • Experience in digital media advertising reporting and technology (including on/offsite advertising reporting, DSPs, ad serving/data technology, etc.)

  • Experience in predictive modeling and machine learning.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
