Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all Company safety rules and procedures (including site-specific regulations) are being strictly adhered to by all Project Team members.Â
- Conducts a minimum of one safety audit of a project site per month (more are encouraged).Â
- Working closely with Operations Manager, Construction Manager, and other Project Managers to develop and grow regional labor and equipment resources, refine operations procedures, and expand our technical capabilities. Â
- Collaborating with regional sales and design team members.Â
- Supporting regional sales and business development efforts by attending and trade shows, conferences and technical presentations. Â
- Serves as the main point of contract both internally and externally for clients and stakeholders.Â
- Coordinating with engineers and general contractors to ensure design and construction requirements are met.Â
- Managing contract negotiations with clients, including preparing scope of work documents.Â
- Tracking, preparing and negotiating change orders and claims. Â
- Material and equipment buyout including negotiating with suppliers and vendors. Â
- Scheduling of projects in logical steps within time required to meet contractual and internal schedules. Â
- Responsible for review of contract documents & specifications and preparation of RFI’s.Â
- Provides input and/or reviews design, drawing, & construction submittals with Design Engineers.Â
- Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.Â
- Generating initial and monthly project financial budgets and forecasts.Â
- Review and approve invoices and payments for subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Â
- Responsible for timely project invoicing and payment collections from clients. Â
- Responsible for project activities that include quality control, documentation, submittal preparation and data analysis, equipment and labor allocations, as well as running small work crews when necessary.Â
- Holds project kickoff & planning meetings.Â
- Conducts pre-construction site visits to determine if there are any site access issues (including both on and off site), working pad preparedness, and overhead obstructions/restrictions. Â
- Works closely with the Engineering Department and the Project Manager to ensure that all project quality requirements are met.  Â
- Provides input and/or reviews bids regional estimators and sales department, as needed. Â

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. 5 years of experience in construction project management in heavy civil construction. Prior geotechnical construction experience is a plus.Â
