Job Description:
As a Line Cook, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role in daily kitchen operations — preparing and plating fresh, made-to-order and grab-and-go dishes while guiding your team to deliver consistency, speed, and excellence. You’ll set the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and food quality on every shift, ensuring that every guest enjoys the fresh, local experience that defines Alltown Fresh.
This role requires culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example. If you’re passionate about great food, enjoy mentoring others, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, you’ll fit right in.
- Lead by example in preparing and cooking all menu items to company standards.
- Execute daily prep and ensure all stations are fully stocked, organized, and ready for service.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portioning across all dishes.
- Monitor service flow, ensuring accuracy and timely ticket execution.
- Support menu rollouts, specials, and seasonal offerings as directed by the Kitchen Manager.
- Provide hands-on guidance and training to line and prep cooks.
- Foster teamwork, communication, and efficiency across all kitchen stations.
- Assist in onboarding new staff and reinforcing Alltown Fresh kitchen standards.
- Support the kitchen when management is not present, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each shift.
- Label, date, and store all ingredients according to company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and properly maintained.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and tracking product usage.
- Reduce waste by monitoring prep levels and portion control.
- Support receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.
- Complete prep logs, temperature checks, and other required documentation accurately.
- Ensure every dish reflects the Alltown Fresh commitment to Fresh, Local, and Honest Food.
- Take pride in creating food that enhances the guest experience and builds lasting impressions.
