Residential Coordinator
Help Create a Safe, Supportive, and Person-Centered Home
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Residential Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of residential homes serving adults with complex medical, neurological, behavioral, or developmental needs. This leadership role ensures high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staffing stability, and a positive environment for both residents and team members.

Position Summary
The Residential Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned residential homes, ensuring individuals receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality services in accordance with individualized support plans and applicable regulatory standards. This position provides leadership to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), oversees staffing, maintains compliance, and partners with clinical and administrative teams to promote exceptional outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
Residential Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned residential homes.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
- Promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for each individual served.
- Monitor implementation of individualized service and behavior support plans.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns.
Leadership & Staffing
- Supervise, coach, and support Direct Support Professionals and Lead Staff.
- Create and maintain staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Fill open shifts and assist with staffing shortages as needed.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and staff performance.
- Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
- Conduct routine audits of resident records, medication administration records, and home documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and organizational policies.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and internal audits.
Resident Care
- Monitor residents' health, safety, and overall well-being.
- Coordinate appointments, follow-up care, and communication with healthcare providers.
- Ensure medications are administered and documented according to policy.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, behavioral health, and case management teams.
- Advocate for residents while maintaining person-centered care.
Quality Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve resident outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor incident trends and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Support continuous staff education and best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in residential services, healthcare, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or long-term care preferred.
- Experience supervising direct care staff strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and documentation requirements.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

- Ability to travel between residential homes.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and provide on-site support outside normal business hours when necessary.
