Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full or part-time, on-site role as a School Psychologist serving a school located in Lafayette, IN. 

The School Psychologist will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating and eligibility processes, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents), supporting students according to their IEP. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs. 

Position Details

  • Part-time school-based opportunity with a 25-hour weekly schedule
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • 2026–2027 academic year (August 2026 through May/June 2027)
  • Fully on-site, in-person position serving students from PreK through 12th grade
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations, conduct diagnostic assessments, contribute to eligibility decisions, and provide consultation to school teams
  • Partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student achievement and educational planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation, prepare written reports, and participate in IEP meetings and other collaborative student support activities
  • Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
  • Manageable caseloads that promote quality services and positive student outcomes
  • Ongoing collaboration and professional support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
  • $65–$85+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of approximately $1,625–$2,125+ based on a 25-hour work week

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
  • NASP License (preferred but not required)
  • State License and/or School Psychologist and Department of Education (when required)
  • 2+ years of experience (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of Counseling and Psychological Assessment
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
