The Shipping Associate will inspect, package and prepare for shipping a variety of custom exhibit, retail and environment products from Moss production. The position performs both packaging and shipping department functions.
Hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect product prior to packaging for quality
- Package products using kraft paper, foam, bags, cores and other materials
- Make boxes using a Packsize automated box making machine
- Use strapping machine to seal boxes, some large and up to 75 lbs.
- Package large projects into crates and skid size boxes
- Prepare shipping labels and documents using Moss business system
- Schedule truck and air freight pickups as needed.
Communicates with Project Managers and other internal staff in person, via email and phone regarding shipments
- Packaging or Shipping Department experience required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Aptitude to see a custom project and determine best way to package it to protect it during shipping
- Knowledge of FedEx, UPS and truck shipments a plus
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Available to work overtime on short notice
