Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing advanced financial analysis, reporting, and decision support. This role involves conducting complex financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as identifying trends and opportunities for improving financial performance. The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with leadership to provide actionable insights and supports strategic initiatives through data-driven recommendations.

This position is HYBRID in Franklin, TN

Essential Functions

  • Performs detailed financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions across departments and entities.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on key financial metrics, providing variance analysis, forecasting, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supports the budgeting process, including compiling financial data, developing projections, and assisting with departmental and organizational budget preparation.
  • Conducts scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions, investments, and operational changes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and clinical departments, to ensure financial goals are met and initiatives are aligned with the overall organizational strategy.
  • Provides decision support to senior leadership through financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis, offering insights into business performance.
  • Ensures financial data integrity by maintaining and improving financial reporting tools, systems, and processes.
  • Stays current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that impact financial reporting and analysis.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting procedures.
  • Supports special projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a healthcare or related industry required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and complex data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Python, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of healthcare financial practices and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
