CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: CNC Engineer

Location: Franklin, NH Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC machines to produce high-precision aluminum components, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and optimize CNC programs for aluminum extrusion machining using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).

· Set up and operate CNC mills and routers to machine aluminum extrusions to tight tolerances.

· Collaborate with quality and production teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

· Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for aluminum materials.

· Conduct first-article inspections and ensure all parts meet quality standards.

· Maintain and calibrate CNC equipment, ensuring proper operation and minimal downtime.

· Document processes, setups, and best practices for repeatability and training purposes.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

· 3+ years of experience in CNC machining.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.

· Strong knowledge of CNC programming and CAM software.

· Familiarity with quality control tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in an aluminum extrusion manufacturing environment.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Work Environment

This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
