Job Summary

The Cyber Solutions Engineering (CSE) department within the Cybersecurity Risk Management (CSRM) organization ensures successful delivery and operations of critical security controls across the CHS Enterprise. As a Cyber Security Engineer, Web SSO engineer, in the Access Management team for the Cyber Security Risk Management (CSRM) organization, you will work closely with the various departments including but not limited to Business Owners, Application Vendors, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and other IT teams, to onboard web applications into our Ping SSO ecosystem, ensuring proper policies and Multifactor Authentication Policies are in place. 

You should have broad theoretical knowledge, such as knowledge gained through post-secondary education or certification-related training, as well as some professional experience in cyber security or information technology.  You are expected to have practical knowledge in the responsibilities listed below, gained through both education and work experience. You can be trusted to work independently with general supervision, and can tackle difficult problems.

Essential Functions

  • Design, implement, document, and assist in the maintenance of the Web SSO infrastructure (today PingOne).

  • Prioritize tasks and ensure that issues are fully resolved in a timely manner.

  • Develop, implement, perform, and document SSO integrations, Adaptive Authentication policies, DaVinci workflows, and Ping Directory maintenance as required. 

  • Work with departments and key stakeholders to create and maintain SSO integrations based on Risk level to CHS.

  • Identify problems or inefficiencies in current processes and suggest modifications.

  • Ensure audit requests for information are conducted and completed as required by the IAM program and regulatory requirements.

  • Create easily understood, useful documentation for processes and solutions to be used by team members and end users.

  • Provide guidance to associate level analysts to improve knowledge of processes and streamline SSO onboarding workflows.

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of Identity & Access Management Technology
  • Experience in SAML/OIDC integrations
  • Experience with PingIdentity SaaS solutions
  • Worked in process-driven structured environments, and participated in process optimization activities.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management and prioritization capabilities.
  • Motivation for growth and self-improvement.
  • Ability and desire to do thorough, high-quality work.

 

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree or higher in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of cybersecurity, technology, or related experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in designing and implementing moderately complex technical solutions with limited oversight.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and techniques across multiple cybersecurity domains.
  • Ability to independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve intermediate-level technical issues.
  • Experience with technologies such as endpoint protection, logging and monitoring, network, and cloud security.
  • Knowledge of systems development lifecycle and ability to contribute to project design and implementation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in cybersecurity practices and standards.
  • Awareness of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards applicable to healthcare or other regulated industries.
