Job DetailsJob Location: 104 SOUTHEAST PARKWAY SUITE 100 - FRANKLIN, TN 37064Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.00 - $18.50 Hourly  POSITION SUMMARY  The Food Pantry Process Coordinator is responsible for assisting in GraceWorks food processing operations, engaging and supervising food processing volunteers, ensuring quality and safety standards for rescued food, and maintaining organized, safe warehouse operations. This role supports the efficient movement of food from rescue pickup through distribution readiness while upholding food safety, organizational standards, and a positive volunteer experience.      PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:    Volunteer Supervision & Engagement  Support the Food Acquisition Assistant Manager by supervising, training, and assisting Food Processing Volunteers to ensure tasks are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.  Provide clear instructions, feedback, and ongoing support to promote a positive and productive volunteer experience.  Monitor volunteer workflows to ensure consistency with food safety and pantry standards.    Food Quality Assurance  Perform quality assurance checks on rescued food to confirm items meet food pantry safety and distribution guidelines.  Identify, separate, and properly discard food items that do not meet quality or safety standards.  Ensure compliance with food handling, storage, and sanitation protocols.    Rescue Food Pickup Support  Assist with rescue food pickups as needed, including loading, unloading, and initial inspection of food donations.  Coordinate with drivers and staff to ensure timely and safe transportation of rescued food to the warehouse.    Warehouse Management & Safety  Oversee proper placement and storage of food items in the warehouse, ensuring accurate categorization, labeling, and rotation (FIFO).  Maintain warehouse organization to support efficiency, cleanliness, and accessibility.  Ensure warehouse safety protocols are followed, including proper lifting techniques, equipment use, and hazard awareness.  Report safety concerns, maintenance needs, or operational issues to the Food Acquisition Assistant Manager  QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The  requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Experience working or volunteering in a food pantry, warehouse, food service, or nonprofit environment preferred.  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow food safety standards.  Experience supervising or working alongside volunteers is a plus.  Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks.  Strong communication and organizational skills.  Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.        EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE  High School Diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age.  A valid driver's license.        OTHER SKILLS  Good interpersonal skills  Team player who works well with others  Exercise good judgment when dealing with the public  Able to effectively work with a diverse range of individuals  Service and Ministry-Minded      WORK ENVIRONMENT  The position is in a retail and warehouse setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts that require standard safety precautions and may encounter hot working conditions based on the season.   -Must be able to lift 50lbs.  -Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
