Job DetailsJob Location: Franklin, TN 37167Mercy Community Healthcare has an opening for an enthusiastic and passionate Nurse Manager.聽Applicants must be a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)聽or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).聽The nurse manager has supervisorial, operational, and functional responsibility for the nursing department. The nurse manager is responsible for the independent planning and development of the nursing department schedule, hiring, and onboarding of the nursing department.聽 This position is responsible for partnering with the Director of Nursing and Chief Clinical Officer to ensure efficient, productive, and professional leadership to the Nursing Department.聽 聽聽 Mercy's Mission: The mission of Mercy Community Healthcare is to reflect the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by providing excellent healthcare to ALL and support to their families. What Is This Job All About? Makes independent decisions for the Nursing Department in areas such: scheduling, proper inventory and ordering of medical supplies and equipment, emergency preparedness duties, onboarding of new staff, and other responsibilities as needed. Participates in the development and maintenance of the staffing plan, ensuring there are sufficient qualified resources to meet patient care needs in his/her areas of responsibility. Manages day to day staffing needs, including callouts, utilizing PRN staff as needed. Attends required meetings, takes meeting minutes, and participates effectively in groups and meetings as requested. Possesses mature interpersonal skills, the ability to work with and lead a wide variety of people, able to remain calm in stressful situations, able to make decisions and corrections as needed. Formulates goals, objectives, and action plans for the Nursing department in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. Able to professionally carry out duties and clinical skills following established standards and practices procedures and protocols Identifies system problems or inefficiencies, which may negatively affect patient care. Identifies possible solutions, involving peers聽and subordinates in the process. Performs interviews to fill open positions. Coordinates competency training including laboratory, mock code/emergency situations, medication and vaccination administration, equipment usage, and identifies other areas of needed competency training. Performs initial 90-day evaluations and annual evaluations of direct patient care staff. Manages vaccine process as needed, assures compliance with OSHA and HIPPA, and maintains standards of professionalism of Mercy Community Healthcare Other duties assigned by supervisor as required. QualificationsWhat We Need from You: Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. 5+ years of nursing experience required. Excellent Verbal and written communication skills required.聽 Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills required.聽 Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail abilities required. Excellent Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines required. 路 Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills required. 路 Basic Microsoft Office skills required.聽 Above Average Eclinicalworks聽EMR skills desired
